| Did anybody see that play against the Mets tonight where Utley was on second and Burrell was on first? Anyway, Rowand hit a single to right and Utley made a hard turn around third, but pulled back up to the bag. Of course, asshole Burrell made his turn around second and kept on going to third with Utley standing there.
The funniest part of it was that Burrell, after being caught in a rundown, decided to slide into third with Utley already there. What was the fucking point of that? I mean seriously, Utley wasn't going anywhere! It's not like Burrell was going to be safe with a deft hook slide or some shit like that. In the grand scheme of things, it was just another meaningless fuck-up on the road to 10,000 losses, but this one was so stupid and meaningless that it seemed special... |
