VEGAS UPDATE:

in other news, Wolfie thought we had no chance to come back against those rooster loosers but we stuck it down their throats what a joke. Smitty said seeeeeee yaaa to them tonight even without the veteran leadership of JCass or Wolfie. Are you kidding me?

Let me set the record straight real quick. I was jokingly saying we had no chance after Game 1 because of how poorly we hit as a team (me excluded of course.) I was obviously kidding when I was saying it, because even though we are not nearly as good as I think we are (I think we have more talent than anyone in the Jardel league), I ALWAYS think we can & will win!

Now, we all fought tooth & nail to get that hard fought victory in Game 2 Thursday night. And, even without myself, JCass, Johnny Mac, Braunny & others, the squad really came together & played the best game of the series. I am really, really proud of what they did. I was at work checking in with Deena every 15 minutes (risking instant termination for being on a cell phone on the casino floor) to see what the score was & what inning it was. My last update I recieved was 10-5 in the 5th or 6th inning.

And then I called Kevin after the game was over & he told me that the Rooster scored 8 runs in the bottom of the 7th to win the game. He said Keith just started walking people (which made the lie instantly believable) & got crushed. I got the sickest feeling in my stomach. We have been in the final 4 of the Jardel league the last 2 years. So, with the additions we made this off-season, to not make it atleast that far this year would be a huge disappointment. But, obviously he was just fuckin wit me & you guys did it! Great job! I have, with the lone exception of our championship run last fall, never been more proud of our team!! Great fuckin job boys!!

And, I know we can beat the Ashton Pub in the next series. But, it all starts with GAME 1!!!! We are NOT going to come back down 0-1 & win that series! So, GAME 1 is a MUST WIN!!!! So boys... enjoy your weekend & your fantastic victory last night! But, come ready like you've never been ready before Monday night!!! We HAVE to win Game 1 & it's the game we have the best chance of winning because they are gonna take us lightly in the first game! They think they are gonna cruise right past us to the championship. But, if we can jump on them quick & never look back, we can go up 1-0 in the series & have the luxury of 2 more game to just beat them one more time!! GAME 1 IS EVERYTHING!!!! GAME 1 IS SURVIVAL!!!! GAME 1 IS FOR OUR SOFTBALL LIVES!!! GAME 1 IS DESTINY FOR THE LONGSHOT SOFTBALL TEAM!!!!
